No less is expected of the 2014 Ford Super Duty, if we consider that Ford’s team of experts pays special attention to the improvement of the braking system, increasing the capacity of cargo space and a new design of this best-in-class truck.
Ford for these models of trucks use 6.2 L SOHC 2-valve Flex Fuel engine (F-250/350) and 6.7 L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel engine( F-450) which proved to be extremely effective and will therefore be found in models for 2014.
6.2L SOHC 2-valve V8 Flex Fuel engine features a single overhead camshaft design and dual-equal variable cam timing. This engine advanced features that help optimize power throughout the speed range as well as fuel efficiency. Heavy-duty pistons, intake and exhaust valves and a large engine bore diameter also help deliver outstanding horsepower and torque for effortless on-the-job performance. Ford offers the flexibility of the CNG/LPG Gaseous Engine Prep Package, available for F-250 and F-350 models.
6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel engine is designed from the ground up to deliver power, efficiency and quiet operation. Single-sequential turbocharger uses the compact, efficient design of a dual-sided compressor wheel to help generate maximum power . Another great feature is the high-pressure common-rail induction system . This engine reduced noise, vibration and harshness . The Power Stroke is equipped with instant-start glow plugs for quick start-ups, even at extremely low temperatures.
2014 Ford Super Duty is designed as a best-in-class when it comes to the capacity of cargo space. Keeping up with modern technology and the desire to meet the demands and needs of its customers, the new Ford Super Duty vehicle model allows full capacity loads of up to 18,500 pounds. The legendary model of Ford, Built Ford Tough, historically proved to be a best-in-class heavy-duty truck when it comes to towing and payload capability. Him in this class replaces the Ford F-Series Super Duty, which in no way inferior to its predecessor, but it outdoes.
Since the 2014 Super Duty with the increased volume of cargo space and the complete weight of loaded vehicle, Ford engineers paid special attention to the improvement of the braking system, and also the safety of vehicles and drivers. Brake rotor swept area is increased significantly especially on long downhill grades. Brake rotor thermal mass especially under extreme conditions.Larger bores and a retuned booster make better brake pedal feel.
